Just a few minutes ago, Huawei’s new product launch conference ended. As scheduled, the company announced the Huawei Nova 6 5G smartphone, which is the manufacturer’s first phone in many aspects. Before the launch of this handset, we got many interesting data concerning the series’ performance. Say, Huawei’s Nova series users have exceeded 125 million.
HUAWEI NOVA 6 KEY FEATURES
The Huawei Nova 6 5G uses a dual-film dual-plating process with 14 nano-level coatings. It is equipped with a 6.57-inch 2400 × 1080 resolution dual-camera full-screen display. At the same time, the screen has passed the German Rheinland Low Blue Light certification and added an e-book mode.
As for the overall appearance, it adopts a 3D quad-curved glass body. The power button also integrates the fingerprint identification module. The front panel frame has a width of 2.4mm only.
There are four colors to choose from – Provence, Blue, Bright Black, and Whisper Red (Starlight Edition (available only on Nova 6 5G)).
Under the hood, the Huawei Nova 6 5G carries the Kirin 990 processor and Baron 5000 dual-chip solution. Thus, it supports NSA and SA dual-mode 5G. It is optimized from multiple features such as battery life and heat dissipation. As for the former, there is a built-in 4200mAh battery, which supports 40W wired fast charging, and has passed the German Rhine Safe Fast Charge certification. In terms of heat dissipation, the Huawei Nova6 5G uses a 13-layer heat dissipation system and dual heat pipe design.
All these features sound quite attractive. But the selling point of this handset is going to be its shooting capabilities. On the front, our protagonist uses Huawei’s first ultra-wide-angle dual-punch-hole screen design. One of the openings hosts a 32MP autofocus lens (IMX616), while the other one carries a 105° ultra-wide angle lens. It supports portrait super night scene 2.0, front 4K HD video recording, front video autofocus, etc. By the way, it tops the DXoMark list.
